Kami an online PDF, Doc or image annotation & manipulation tool. (Click the link for a quick & painless 2 minute Kami video orientation.) Teachers can make Kami assignments by using a simple assignment from their Google Drive or by altering a premade activity from the Kami library. With Kami, students can:

  • Highlight, underline & strikethrough
  • Add text (even through voice typing)
  • Have things read to them with text-to-speech
  • Attach shapes, images & video
  • Collaborate virtually

This August, Kami released some very helpful new features:

  • Natural Read Aloud Voices
  • Text Translation & Language Support

Any staff member within the MYWCCC domain has access to Kami and even if you don't use it in a classroom, it can be a helpful tool.

What Can You Do With Kami? What Can You Do With Kami?

With Kami you can:

  • This year no student phones are allowed; well, no problem! They can use the integrated camera tool & take a picture using their Chromebook and submit it.
  • See your students work in real-time, giving live and meaningful feedback & supervising them to stay on task
  • Help struggling students
  • Have students complete assignments with multimedia answers like images and videos
  • Insert math symbols with ease.
  • Give students a paper copy of something and have them work on it without you digitizing
  • Create a dynamic assignment out of a static image using OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
  • Create something in Canva and then share directly to students to manipulate, answer or modify
  • Markup & Highlight passages for better understanding.
  • Host a digital whiteboard that student groups can use to collaborate in person or virtually
  • Split, merge or rearrange the order of a multi-page PDF
  • Use a digital notebook with students. Give students a static resource, but still allow them to annotate and add content that gives the assignment more meaning
  • Sign documents and forms in a flash.
