What I want to share about my reason for working at MPS: My reason for working as a school counselor at MPS is the students! They continue to teach me new things everyday in some way or another. I want to ensure that students have a safe space to be themselves, have someone to hold them accountable and cultivate pride within themselves.
Fun facts about me: I live in Devils Lake with my husband Channing, my son Wilder, and our two dogs Koley and Oshki. Oshki is in training to complete the Canine Good Citizen training to, hopefully one day, provide school based therapy and emotional support. I love to play sports, travel and be outside. I can also do a cartwheel with no hands!

Elementary Math Goal
Our staff and students will be working hard this year for ALL students to show growth in math!
Here is our focus goal: Using the STAR Math Assessment, 50% of MPS students who scored in the 41st-60th percentile during the fall screening period will achieve proficiency (61st percentile & above) by the spring screening period.
**We had a kickoff assembly for students to introduce this goal and get them excited for math this year! Check out the images below captured by Mrs. O'Brien!
How can you help your child increase their math skills?
