Transcript Review

Are you on track with your credits?

Good standing juniors have earned a total of 120 credits as of today. By the end of this fall semester, you should earn another 30 credits as long as you are passing with a D grade or higher bringing your total to 150 credits by the end of December.

Below is a typical junior credit summary who is meeting all subject area requirements.

A - G Check

Are you eligible to apply to a 4 year university?

All A-G classes must have a letter grade of A, B, C, or CR for eligibility.

D grades are not accepted by most universities.

Universities will only accept CR for your freshmen year (20-21) coursework during the COVID closure.

2. Zero period PLATO added to schedule (limited seats) uses Edmentum program

3. Summer School - Not always a guarantee which courses are offered but typically uses Edmentum or enroll at Pacific Coast High School

Test Optional vs Test Blind

Most four universities have suspended SAT/ACT exams as a requirement to the college application process. Instead they have moved towards Test Optional or Test Blind. Please view individual websites for testing requirements.

*The UC/CSU system no longer require testing.

Test Optional: You can submit test scores as part of your college application and the university will take them into consideration, but it is not required.

Test Blind: Universities will not look at any test scores as part of the application process.

Many private universities will award merit scholarships and college course placements based on SAT/ACT scores.

SAT vs ACT

Which one should I take?

Both exams are widely accepted by US 4 year colleges.

You are not required to take any college entrance exams if attending a 2 year Community College.

Click on picture links below to view testing dates, locations, and to sign up directly on SAT/ACT website. Test fee waivers available in the counseling office if you are on free/reduced lunch.
