We Did It, Walnut Hills! 🎉
Announcement(s) From Our Amazing PTCO💜
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Walnut Hills community, this year's Fun Run raised over $20,000! A huge thank-you to everyone who donated, shared fundraising pages, volunteered and cheered on our students. Your support makes a meaningful difference for our school, and we couldn't have done it without you. Way to go, Cougars!
Parents, It’s Your Turn to Have Some Fun! 🎉
Did you know the “C” in PTCO stands for community? Building connections among our Walnut Hills families is a big part of what we do! Now that the kids have had their fun at the Fun Run, it’s the parents’ turn to get together.
Mark your calendars for two upcoming parents-only events hosted by WHPTCO!

Update to Dismissal Procedures
If your child’s dismissal plan needs to change, please call the front office before 2:30 p.m. to let us know.
Providing us with changes as early as possible allows our staff enough time to communicate the change to your child’s teacher and ensure that everyone involved in dismissal is informed. This helps us keep dismissal safe, organized, and running smoothly. We greatly appreciate your help and understanding.
If your child normally rides the bus but will be picked up instead:
- Please call the front office before 2:30 p.m. to let us know your child will not be riding the bus.
- Please do not go directly to the bus to pick up your child.
- If your child has already boarded the bus when you arrive, you will need to go to the front office first and check your child out. For safety reasons, students cannot be released directly from the bus. This process allows us to verify your identity and ensure your child is released to an authorized adult.
Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe and organized for all of our students. The earlier we know about a change, the better we can prepare. We truly appreciate your cooperation and support.

More Than Free Meals: Additional Benefits for WAL Families!
Did you know that the Student Benefit Form can help connect families with additional resources and benefits beyond free school meals?
While breakfast and lunch are free for all Cherry Creek students, families who qualify may also be eligible for discounted school fees, class materials, bus passes, utility assistance, Summer EBT benefits, and more!
Completing the form also helps Walnut Hills receive funding and qualify for additional school and community programs, including resources that support the health and well-being of our students.
We encourage families to take a few minutes to see if they qualify. Providing this information helps ensure eligible families and our school have access to available resources!
