To attend a Career Connect visit you are required to email Mr. Bargar and obtain permission from the teacher of the class you are missing 24 hours in advance

College Visits

Attending a college visit is a great way to learn about colleges/universities
College visits are open to Juniors and Seniors and will take place in the College and Career Center
To attend a college visit you must both register in SchooLinks and obtain permission to attend from the teacher of the class that you'll be missing 24 school hours in advance (ie. A Monday 8:30a visit requires registration and permission from your teacher by 8:30a the previous Friday)
To attend a Career Connect visit you are required to email Mr. Bargar and obtain permission from the teacher of the class you are missing 24 hours in advance

The Spirit Store in LCHS will be open every Friday from 10:45 am - 1:30 pm for your Lakes shopping needs. You can also visit the Spirit Shed during every home football game next to the home bleachers. GO EAGLES!

Latest Highlights

Girls bowling finished up first semester at the Vernon Hills SnowTap Tournament. The team was led by Nicole Kennedy, who placed 3rd overall! The girls will continue conference play this week vs. Antioch.
Girls basketball defeated North Chicago as we concluded first semester. While they did not play in a holiday tournament, they played some strong competition in preparation for the second half of the season. The girls will host Grayslake Central, Richmond-Burton, and Mundelein this week.
Boys basketball played in the Hinkle Classic over break, with Ben Newcomb being named to the all-tournament team. They defeated North Chicago on Wednesday night and a took home a big win over Antioch on Saturday.
Girls wrestling continues to wrestle well, as they placed 1st in the 2nd Annual Lakes' SnowBrawl Tournament on December 19th! The ladies have an undefeated NLCC record after last week's win over North Chicago. They are off until Thursday when they host Antioch.
Girls gymnastics had a tremendous senior night last week vs. Niles West and Vernon Hills. Isabella Aya led the way to a 2nd place team finish. At Lake Forest on Saturday, the team took 5th place, recording 6 season-best scores! They will compete against Mundelein on Wednesday night and will be at the Lake County Invite on Saturday.
Boys wrestling got the year off to a great start with a win over North Chicago Thursday night. At the Leyden Tournament, Michael Flatley and Porter Cramond led the way with 5th place finishes. The Eagles host Antioch this Thursday.
The cheer and dance teams, along with Antioch's cheer and dance teams, hosted the 4th Annual "All of the Lights Cheer and Dance Competition" over the weekend. With 104 cheer routines and 68 dance routines, this competition is one of the biggest in the state. The varsity cheer team took 6th place overall on Saturday and are preparing for the NLCC Invite this Friday. The dancers performed well at "All of the Lights" and will spend this week getting ready for their NLCC Invite on Friday. Thank you to all of the student and community volunteers for making this event run so smoothly.
