Principal's Message
Good evening, Yowell families. This is Mrs. Fiscus with your weekly update.
This week is Red Ribbon Week, and we have a fun spirit day planned for each day.
- Monday, wear teal for Spina Bifida Awareness Day.
- Tuesday, wear your favorite hat or baseball cap.
- Wednesday, wear crazy, colorful, or mismatched socks.
- Thursday, wear a sports jersey, team shirt, or our school colors.
- Friday, students may wear their Halloween costumes to school! For Friday’s costumes, please remember that students may not wear masks. Teachers still have to teach, and students still have to learn, so costumes need to allow everyone to participate in the school day. If your child wears an inflatable costume, it will not be inflated during the day. They are certainly fun, but they are not quite designed for sitting at a desk!
Our kindergarten students will take their field trip on Monday, and our Little Lion fundraiser will take place on Thursday and Friday. Please check the newsletter for additional information.
Sports Club has finished for the semester. Tuesday’s group will resume on January 12, and Thursday’s group will resume on January 14.
Musical rehearsal, Band, and Art Club will continue this week, so please review the schedule carefully to make sure students arrive on the correct morning.

Transportation Information
In an effort to assist schools and parents with current information about bus changes, transportation has added a new item on their website called: Transportation - Morning Update. The direct link can be found here. Also, this is the direct link to transportation.
Parents of students Pre-K through Grade 3 are expected to meet their children at the bus stop. Failure to do so will result in the child(ren) being returned to school. Should you choose to allow your child(ren) to be dropped off without supervision in the afternoon, please fill out and return this document.
We will be posting departure times for buses each day to assist parents with receiving their child from the bus stop. Please check this document each afternoon.

School Resource Officer (SRO)
We are happy to have a School Resource Officer (SRO) this year at Yowell. You can contact Deputy Kameron Buckhanan with any concerns you have with school safety or anything that would be related to criminal activity.
