Life changing success story from Molly C., Minnesota educator:
"After being told [by the Department of Education] that my loan payments didn’t count toward forgiveness because they were with the wrong loan provider, I felt defeated. With the changes to the PSLF program, I received a letter saying I have reached my qualified 120 loan payments, and I’ve had $87,000 in debt forgiven. It’s a huge weight lifted, a noticeable release of tension."

AASA: Apply Now to Prevent Youth Suicide
Young people need our help. Suicide rates of those aged 10 to 24 years have increased steadily over the past decade, with a devastating rate increase of 76% among 15–19-year-olds. In addition, an alarming 24 percent of youth experience suicidal ideation.
We can help save young lives together with a purposeful, powerful, evidence-based peer suicide prevention program called Hope Squad. In partnership with AASA, The School Superintendents Association, and Hope Squad, Sourcewell is offering 5 districts the opportunity to install a Hope Squad into three schools – one High School, one Middle School and one Elementary School. The impact of suicide is far-reaching and affects entire communities. Apply now for a Hope Squad installation in your district, and let’s help prevent youth suicide together. Should you have questions, please contact Leigh Hines at Leigh.hines@aasa.org.
