Wessagusset Elementary School

It was great to see so many families at Parent/Teacher Conferences earlier this week. We are truly grateful to have such supportive, involved families. Please remember, you can reach out to us with questions or concerns any time, not just during conferences. Working together we are sure to make school a successful experience for all of our students!

• We are very proud of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders for all of their hard work on the MCAS ELA tests this week! Students who were absent will be able to take the test on the make-up day in early May. More details will be sent home soon.

• Our School Nurse, Mrs. Kathy Knoll, will be out on medical leave for the remainder of the school year. Coverage will be provided by the WPS nursing staff. We will miss Nurse Knoll and wish her well!

• Passover is observed from April 5th-13th. Happy Passover to all those who celebrate!

• The Book Fair is coming to Wessagusset April 10-14! Students will visit during their assigned Library class time. You can set up funds online in advance, or send cash/checks on the day of their visit. More information can be found here: Wess Book Fair

• Join Town Wide Parent Council on April 11th for a virtual event called, "Minding Your Mind". Information can be found here: Minding Your Mind

• NED’s Mindset Mission is coming to Wessagusset for a performance on Wednesday, April 12th! Students will be able to purchase a yo-yo after the assembly: prices are $10, $12, and $16. Cash only, please. (Flyer is below)

• The Special Olympics will take place on Thursday, April 27th! More details can be found here: Special Olympics 2023

• We would love to have our Wessagusset families share their cultures and traditions at International Night on May 16th from 5-8pm at Chapman! More details and sign-up information can be found here: International Night 2023

• This Tuesday, April 11th is a half-day with dismissal at 11:50 am.

This year's 5K Fun Run in conjunction with North Weymouth Civic Association's North Weymouth Day will be held on Sunday 6/4/23. Please consider signing up to volunteer for the event. We will need several volunteers on the day of the race for various tasks which will be assigned on the day of the race.
