Welcome Back to School! - Klinger
Monday, July 28, 2025

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians:
We would like to welcome you to Klinger Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year! In just a few weeks, we’ll be greeting you as you take the first steps toward a year full of wonder, critical thinking, challenging academics, and love. We hope and trust that you are enjoying the summer with family, friends, and lots of reading.
At Klinger, we practice the strategies of being Respectful, Responsible, Reliable, and Safe. Respect means that we are all kind to one another. We all have our strengths and challenges, and at Klinger, we celebrate the successes and help one another with our challenges. Next is Responsible: from taking care of your Chromebook to working hard, having fun, and being nice, we trust you with much responsibility. You can count on the adults at Klinger, and likewise, we can count on you. We will all be Reliable: ready, willing, and able to help and always doing our best. Finally, we always remember to be Safe and to look out for one another. We see this every day with students walking in the halls and making good choices.
One of the best ways to achieve success and maximize your middle school experience is to get involved: we have many student clubs and organizations, ranging from community service to board games to art to our musical. We also have several sports teams and a wonderful fine arts program, so getting involved is easy to do! Our goal is for every single student to be involved in a minimum of one extracurricular activity each year at Klinger.
The first day of school is Wednesday, August 27th, and the school day for students will begin promptly at 7:55 a.m. Students may arrive any time after 7:45 a.m. when our building opens. On the first day of school, the student day will begin with a brief orientation via KTV, our student-run news program.
IMPORTANT BEGINNING OF THE SCHOOL YEAR DATES TO NOTE
Addition: 9/11 - 5:00-6:00 pm Pre-BTSN Mix and Mingle
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
As part of the opening week exercises, all new-to-Centennial students will receive a Chromebook (including a charger) and school-related forms. For all students who already have their Chromebook, please report with it fully charged on the first day. We will be in touch about our plans for the return of current devices and the issuing of brand-new Chromebooks soon! Should you have any problems prior to school starting, please submit a repair ticket online through the CSD Community Technology Help Desk Portal.
The student handbook contains all guidelines, procedures, and rules for Klinger Middle School. We have a strict no cell phone policy - they must be off and away during the school day. Additionally, our dress code includes that we do not wear hats or hoods in school. As Rita Pierson’s mantra goes, we have “things to do, people to impress, and places to go.” Cell phones, hats, and hoods distract us from our primary goal of learning, and we won’t let them get in the way. Thank you, students, parents, and guardians, for your help with these practices as we help all our students to learn and grow!
We encourage you to check the Klinger Middle School web page frequently. Here you can find information regarding daily announcements, student schedules, Canvas links, important dates, parent pick-up and drop-off procedures, school lunch information, “Home and School” membership/events, and other school-related communications. The CSD App is also a great resource for all things Centennial, including a Chatbot that can help answer your questions. We also encourage you to follow us on Facebook, and Instagram in order to remain up-to-date on the happenings at Klinger Middle School. Finally, be sure to check your email for our digital newsletter every two weeks through an e-Alert.
Skyward Q
Student schedules will be available in Skyward in mid-August. We will be in touch soon to let you know when they are ready. Please remember to update your contact information (telephone numbers, email addresses, and emergency contacts) in the Skyward Family Access portal so that you will receive E-alert emails, text messages, and voice-recorded messages. If you are coming from the elementary schools or are new to the district, you will need to know your Skyward username & password. For any assistance with your username & password, or if you have not yet registered, please call the Skyward Helpdesk at 215-441-6000 ext. 11150.
