The Varsity MasterMinds Team earned the right to go to the Buffalo Regional Playoffs on May 19th coming in as one of the ELITE 8 of Western New York. Playoffs were held at Daemen College. Orchard Park came out of the gate strong and soundly defeated Lew-Port and Williamsville North with some of their best scoring for the whole season. The tournament was a double-elimination format which played into the next two rounds. OP lost a close game to Lancaster and unfortunately fell in the next round to earlier defeated Williamsville North. The results were not exactly what the team wanted, BUT they did a great job and have a bright future ahead with the players all being juniors, currently. OP ended up as the THIRD best team. It is our best showing in the playoffs over the last five years. Congratulations go out to Aedan Brockman, Cole Scinta, John Kelley and Will Asci (as well as those who were committed elsewhere - Ben Cieurzo, Connor Makey and Brandon DeJong).

If you have any questions about MasterMInds (JV did well this year, as well), please contact rrominger@opschools.org and/or look at https://www.nymasterminds.com .

At that meeting, they will be shown a copy of their transcript listing the courses taken, final grades, and credits from grades 9 through 10. For a detailed breakdown of the college application process, please click HERE.

  • Students and families are invited to join SUNY representatives for an in-person College Fair designed to provide information and answer questions about the college search process and all that is available to undergraduates at The State University of New York. The event will take place at SUNY Brockport from 6 PM to 7:30 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Register here: https://engage.suny.edu/portal/suny_college_fairs
