Message from Principal Stilwell Message from Principal Stilwell

Dear Garfield Families,

Thank you so much for joining us at our Showcase of Learning last week! It was wonderful to see so many of you engaging with our students and staff—celebrating their hard work, reflecting on their growth, and looking ahead to another great year of learning. Your presence and support truly make a difference.

I hope you all enjoyed the three-day weekend. While students had the day off on Friday, our staff spent the day learning, collaborating, and problem-solving together—focusing on how we can continue to improve and ensure every student achieves at high levels. It was an inspiring day that reminded me just how lucky we are to have such a dedicated, expert, and caring team here at Garfield. This is a special place, and I’m so grateful for our staff, our families, and, most of all, our amazing students.

Looking ahead, we have some exciting events coming up! Please join us on Wednesday, October 22, for our PTA Game Night, which will include BINGO—it’s always a fun evening for the whole family. We also have Parent-Teacher Conferences on November 3rd and 4th, and we look forward to connecting with you then.

Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support.

Warmly,
Mrs. Stilwell
Principal

To ensure safety and efficiency during drop-off and pick-up, please follow these guidelines:

  • Drop-Off: Stay in your vehicle. Have your child exit on the curbside (passenger side/right side) for safety.
  • Pick-Up: Stay in your vehicle. Once you reach the pick-up zone, we will call your child to your car. They will enter on the curbside for safety.

If you need to get out of your car, please park in a designated parking area. Parking is available in the school parking lot or along adjacent streets (including 23rd adjacent to the school parking lot). Do not park in the carline including along the fence on 23rd or in the bus zone on Pine Street. All other areas are open for street parking.

Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and our traffic flow smooth!
