Viking Newsletter 9/5/26

Tuesday, 9/8, is a MINIMUM DAY, followed by FALL TERM WELCOME beginning at 5:15 in the Gold Gym, note the updated location.

Prior to the welcome, TWBI will host a parent meeting at 4:45 in room A9. Then after 4th period, counselors will host two meetings at 7:15: one for FRESHMEN PARENTS in the Student Union, and another for SENIOR PARENTS in the Library. Please bring your student's schedule. Our staff will be available to help direct you from class to class. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON CAMPUS!

• Application must be completed and submitted AT LEAST 1 WEEK BEFORE first day of I.S. (requests made less than 1 week before may be denied)

• For students with any prior incomplete Independent Studies, requests will likely be denied

• If I.S. is granted, all I.S. work must be complete and submitted within 3 days of returning to school

• See Ms. Whitson in the library for all I.S. questions, requests, and applications

*Registration opens for Winter and Spring Quarters at LTCC for High School students on November 10th, 2026

LTCC has a full-time employee on STHS’s campus. Savannah is the Dual Enrollment Advisor and is here to help your student navigate all things LTCC. Whether it’s navigating Dual Enrollment, assistance with enrolling in after school classes (concurrent enrollment) at LTCC, or needing support with college navigation, Savannah is here to help!
