Principal's Corner:
Hello Orchard Primary Families!
We are in full swing of our daily school routines, procedures and schedules! It is wonderful seeing those smiling faces in the classrooms, hallways, lunchroom, and on the playground!
Next week (Sept. 14-18), OP students will begin our district NWEA fall benchmark assessments for ELA and Math. Students take these NWEA district assessments three times a year; fall, winter, and spring. These assessments provide learning progress benchmark data throughout the year. Your child's teacher will be sharing your child's NWEA progress results and reports, when they become available.
Student assessment success tips:
- Get a good night's sleep😴
- Eat a healthy breakfast🍓
- Arrive to school on time⏰
- Have an encouraging conversation with parents about doing their best👪
- Take your time, do your best💯
Drop off/Pick-ups: Parents, if you are driving your students to and from school, please remember to not park your car in the drop-off lane and leave your vehicle. It is imperative to keep those lanes moving to ensure successful drop-off and pick-ups. Thank you for your help!
New to OP: We would like to welcome Mrs. April Madden, our new Director of Student Success, to OP! We are so happy she is here and she has already begun building positive relationships with students, staff and families!

A letter from our PTA:
Welcome back Raiders!
Class shirt forms & payment should be turned in on Friday Sept. 11th. The order will go in sometime during the next week and should take about 2-3 weeks to come in!! We are looking forward to seeing the NEW 3rd grade class color!!!
Fall Fundraiser has officially started!!! Envelopes went home with students on Friday Sept. 11th. Families can use the physical form to get their orders OR it can all be done online: www.shopfund.com, Group Code: 76KG8
This is our largest earning fundraiser we do all year, so your participation is very appreciated!!
This fundraiser will run until Thursday September 24th, with delivery tentatively scheduled for Thursday November 5th.
Our first PTA Meeting of the school year is Monday September 14th @ 4p at the Almont Community Park!! We will provide snacks & juice boxes for the kiddos and they can run and play while we hold our meeting. We look forward to seeing new & familiar faces!!
