Weekly Update

Name calling is starting to be a big issue in all grade levels. There is no reason to make comments about people's body, intelligence, home life, etc. I know sometimes we think we are joking but not everyone takes it as a joke. Please have a conversation with your child about being kind, not participating in name calling and if they do hear a peer name call shut it down and encourage kindness. Middle school is tough enough as it is students do not need to have their peers calling them names and making them feel bad about themselves. I know we can all do better and treat each other with more respect and kindness.

Monday- No School

Tuesday- Mini Bagel -- Country Fried Steak or Chicken Bacon Ranch Salad

Wednesday- Donut -- Crispito or Taco Salad

Thursday- Biscuits and Gravy -- Spaghetti or Ham Cobb Salad

Friday- Muffin -- Corndog or Italian Chef Salad

5th Grade

This week we learned about the Health Sciences Career Cluster. I would encourage you to talk to your student about what jobs they learned about in this cluster. And, if YOUR job is in this cluster, please share what your "day in the life of" is.

6th, 7th, 8th

Students started working on their Student-Led Conference presentations that they will share with you on February 20th!

Low Income Energy Assistance Program

Attached, you will find a flyer with information about receiving assistance if you are struggling to pay your bills.

Monday- No School

Boys play at Sabetha, bus will leave at 2:45 pm

7th Grade plays at the High School Secondary Gym

8th Grade plays at the Middle School Gym

BOE meeting 6:30pm

Tuesday- Boys Basketball at Home against Perry, games start at 4:30

8th Grade Parent Night we will recognize 8th grade wrestlers as well

Recognition will be between the A and B games please be here by 5:00pm

Theme for the last home game is Pink Out.

Wednesday- County Spelling be at 7pm in the Middle School Gym
