To Every End, A New Beginning
"I'm glad we had the times together just to laugh and sing a song, seems like we just got started and then before you know it, the times we had together were gone."- Dr. Seuss
Endings are never easy. They come with mixed emotions- especially in sports. The end of a season often brings sadness because something we care so deeply about has come to a close. For some, that simply means moving on to the next sport or the next school year. For others, it marks the end of a sports career. But with every ending comes the chance to reflect on all that was accomplished and the memories made along the way. As baseball and softball closed their seasons this weekend, Central Lee officially moves into the next chapter, the 2025-26 school year.
To our student-athletes who will return, preparation for next season starts now. Get in the weight room, work on the things we need to improve on, and strengthen your mindset and your willingness to do what it takes to succeed. Our Activities Department all around had success this year, but we can do so much more if you work for it! Reaching higher levels of success requires commitment and sacrifice, but the reward is always worth it. Are you ready to take that next step?
To our coaches and fans, thank you all for a great 2024-25 activities year! Your consistent support helps create a positive and enriching environment for our students. You are all essential in the development of our students both on and off the field. Please continue to be a positive, energetic bunch that makes Central Lee a special place!
To our graduating seniors, thank you for years of commitment and effort for Central Lee. Watching you all grow into the young men and women you are today has been rewarding as a teacher/coach. I hope you've made lifelong memories through the activities department. Use those experiences to chase your goals, overcome challenges, and push yourself to grander heights! Welcome to the Central Lee Alumni Family! I leave you with the following quote: "Today is your day, your mountain is waiting. So get on your way."- Dr. Seuss.
Thank you, and Go Hawks!

Week in Review ⚾️🥎
Baseball Finished 19-5
Bo Herdrich went 2 for 2 at the plate, crushing a double and scoring a run. Chase Johnson and Blake Davis pitched a shutout with 8 combined strikeouts. Brett Cook chased down three fly balls in the outfield, saving at least two runs from coming in.
7/12- L vs Chariton (District Final)- 2-3
Kayden Calfee had a solid gapper to get on base and would walk across one of the two runs. Caedon Newton, Chase Johnson, and Blake Davis finished the season sharing the mound and provided solid showings, but Chariton's early offensive rally was too much to come back on. The boys should be proud of the wonderful season they had.
