Dragon Weekly

Summer '21!

DragonWeeklySummer '21!

WE MADE IT! WE MADE IT!

It is amazing how much things can change in a year, but here we are - we have completed a school year during a global pandemic. There was a lot of uncertainty as we headed into this school year, but together we made it through.

Each one of us - administrators, teachers, staff, students, and parents learned something as we navigated this school year and all it brought.

The Dragon Weekly will publish as needed this summer. As we get closer to the new school year starting, it will return to a weekly publication. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, the Live Feed on the website, and download the mobile app to stay informed.

Meet Some New Dragons Meet Some New Dragons

Mr. David Goodman

My name is David Goodman. I grew up in Mount Ida, Arkansas but have lived in the River Valley for over 10 years with my wife Dana, to whom I have been married for 21 years. We have been foster parents for 1 ½ years and recently adopted our three kids. I recently graduated from UAFS with my bachelor’s degree in Biology and I begin my Master’s in Teaching at Arkansas Tech this coming June. I am excited to begin my teaching career at Mountainburg High School as a math teacher. Beyond the classroom I enjoy hunting, fishing, spending time with my family, and making homemade cheese. I cannot wait to meet my upcoming students and their families. Go Dragons!

Mrs. Shauna Marion

My name is Shauna Marion, and I have accepted a position at Mountainburg Elementary School for the 2021-22 school year. I am a 2010 Mountainburg graduate. My husband is a 2008 Mountainburg graduate and together we have 3 children! I’m excited to get to work at the same place where I received my education.

Mr. Matthew Tracy

Mr. Tracy is a recent addition to Mountainburg. He started as a metal fabricator in Lubbock, Texas before moving to Arkansas to continue his education. He graduated from Harding University with a BA in Bible and Ministry and from Radboud University with an MA in Theology. He loves reading, writing, traveling, and trying out new foods. Mr. Tracy lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas with his wife, Mariah. He is excited to teach English for the 2021-2022 school year!
The Board of Education meets the 3rd Monday of each month at 5:45 PM in the board room (downstairs in the Administration Building) unless otherwise advertised.
