A Message From Mrs. Lucas, BHS Principal
Happy Friday Bobcat Families!
While this week was a short one, it was chalk full of events and new processes at the school. We hosted our Senior Parent Night, which was quite informative. Our students featured their second live Bobcat broadcast today, providing announcements and sharing information with their classmates.
The Class of 2026 graduation date has been announced and published by PWCS. Battlefield's graduation will be held at Eagle Bank on Friday, May 29th at 9:30 a.m. Please look for more information in the coming weeks and months.
We are launching our Tardy Kiosk with a soft rollout on Monday, September 8th and full rollout starting Tuesday, September 9th. Students can scan their old picture ids, use the QR code embedded in their StudentVUE, or enter their school email address to record their arrival to school. We also have parent early dismissal kiosk in the main office, and thus far, the response by parents has been positive.
Next week is Homecoming Week and we look forward to the many events students have planned, and we hope our former graduates will take time to come out to the game next Friday, September 12th.
I hope you have a marvelous weekend!
Warm Regards,
Principal Lucas
Pawsitive Praise
Each month, Battlefield’s administration will proudly select one outstanding student who has demonstrated exceptional character, leadership, or kindness within our school community. This recognition celebrates students who go above and beyond—whether through helping others, showing resilience, or contributing positively to the school environment. Congratulations to this month’s honoree for making Battlefield a better place through their actions and kindness.
August Student of the Month - Pavit Kaur
On day 3 of school one of our buses was overcrowded. We needed one student to give up their seat so that another student could sit down. A second bus was circling back for whomever needed to get off the bus. Pavit Kaur, raised her hand and stood up without hesitation and said that she could have her seat. Pavit, and a few other students who didn't have a seat, waited patiently with administration until the other bus returned to Battlefield HS. She went above and beyond and her kindness and selflessness should be celebrated! -Mr. Shaffer, Assistant Principal
