Dear MODA Families,
November is here, and our MODA Bears are continuing to ROAR with Purpose! 🐻💙💛 As we head into a season of gratitude, we are thankful for the amazing students, dedicated teachers, and supportive families who make MODA such a special community.
This month, we are focusing on kindness, responsibility, academic growth, and celebrating the many ways our students learn and lead. Thank you for partnering with us to help every MODA Bear feel known, valued, supported, and ready to learn!
🧡🦃 NOVEMBER: A SEASON OF GRATITUDE
At MODA, we believe gratitude makes our school community stronger! This month, we encourage our Bears to look for ways to show appreciation, spread kindness, and make a positive difference.
Challenge your MODA Bear to:
💛 Thank a teacher or classmate.
🐾 Help someone without being asked.
💙 Share encouraging words with others.
🦃 Reflect on something they are thankful for each day.
A little gratitude can make a ROARING difference!
📚 STRONG ROUTINES = STRONG LEARNERS!
Every day is an opportunity to grow! Families play an important role in helping students build the habits they need to succeed in our virtual learning environment.
Help your MODA Bear stay on track by making sure they:
✅ Attend and actively participate in live classes.
✅ Check Launch Pad and Canvas regularly.
✅ Complete assignments and submit work on time.
✅ Ask questions and communicate with teachers when they need help.
✅ Participate in assigned interventions and support sessions.
✅ Practice reading and math skills regularly.
Remember: Live classes matter at MODA! Every connection gives students another opportunity to ask questions, build relationships, and grow academically.
💙💛 NOVEMBER CHARACTER FOCUS: KINDNESS
This November, our MODA Bears are challenged to ROAR with KINDNESS! 🐻
Kindness can be shown in big ways and small ways—even through a computer screen!
🐾 Use kind and encouraging words.
🐾 Listen respectfully when others are speaking.
🐾 Include others and celebrate differences.
🐾 Offer help when someone is struggling.
🐾 Show appreciation for teachers, classmates, and family members.
Our challenge: Can your MODA Bear complete one act of kindness each day?
Let's fill our virtual classrooms with kindness, encouragement, and positive energy!
⭐ KEEP GROWING, MODA BEARS!
We are proud of the effort our students put into learning each day. As we move through the school year, we encourage families to celebrate progress, not just perfection.
Ask your child:
What is something new you learned this week?
What is one thing you are proud of?
What is a skill you are working hard to improve?
How did you show kindness to someone today?
Small steps lead to BIG growth! Whether your child is mastering a new reading skill, strengthening math facts, participating more confidently in live classes, or learning to work independently, every step forward matters.

At MODA, we want our students to know that their voices, ideas, and leadership matter!
We encourage all students to look for opportunities to share their ideas, participate in school activities, and help make MODA an even better place to learn.
Our MODA Bears are not just learners—they are leaders, creators, problem-solvers, and important members of our school community!

MODA Families,
As we approach Thanksgiving, we want you to know how grateful we are for YOU! Thank you for the time, encouragement, patience, and support you give your children each day. We know that virtual learning takes teamwork, and we appreciate the important role you play in helping your MODA Bear succeed.
We are thankful for our students who show courage, our teachers who inspire growth, and our families who partner with us to make learning possible.
