What makes you CHS Proud: I have created lifelong relationships through my employment at CHS, relationships that I am truly grateful for.
Favorite family tradition: Watching It's a Wonderful Life on Thanksgiving night.
Bucket list item: Vacationing in Greece and Italy
Topic that you could give a 20 minute presentation on without any preparation: Harry Potter
Mr. Durante | Health & PE Teacher | Head Baseball Coach | Asst Football Coach
Hometown: Brunswick
High School: Holy Name
College(s): Kent State University
Family: Wife: Dena | Son: Antonio | Daughter: Milania | Agent: Big Timmy | Sous-Chef: Jason Geanuracos
What makes you CHS Proud: There has always been a "Positive Connection" in this building and community. An uplifting, supportive approach to what needs to be accomplished.
Something unique about me: In grade school, Roller Skating became a hoppy of mine in between sports. In the years of 1996, 1997, 1998, I was crowned Brunswick Skate Station Champion of the coveted "2 man race". I retired with a snow cone after the race in 1998.
Greatest Accomplishment: Since I was young, I played any sport that came my way. In grade school, MS and HS, I focused on 3 Sports. Football, Baseball and Basketball. Was solid in all 3 but had an issue with Fouling out of Basketball Games. May have been a “bit” rough. My Senior year, my Dad used to pay me $10 if I didn’t foul out of a game (I didn’t make much money).
My last Basketball game of my Senior year was a tournament game. I personally had a game that had many, including our coaches and statisticians, amazed. I started the game as usual, was a “bit” rough that night and ended with 4 and 1/2 minutes of total game time with 5 fouls... I didn’t get $10 after that one.
Most Inspirational Person: My Dad, Alex Durante. His positive outlook, his ability to move on from unnecessary drama, his smile and compassion. His reasoning and hard working mentality.
He has always done everything and anything for our family and I’m blessed to have him as a father. Mom, you’re the best too, I love you.
Mr. Prather's U.S. History classes had hands-on experience with WWII food rationing. Students crafted "Emergency Steaks" out of ground meat, milk, and Wheaties.

A reminder to parents that it is unsafe, unhealthy, and unacceptable—and, in many communities, illegal—to provide alcohol for underage youth. It decreases young people’s access to alcohol by reducing the number of parents willing to provide alcohol for young people. Over time, it reduces the likelihood teens will drink alcohol and suffer the health effects that come from underage drinking. Click Here for more information
