THS Blue Devil Times

We didn't "just make it" through the first week, we rocked it! While the first day energy was noticeably higher, the entire first week was filled with students in our hallways that were excited to get the year going. We also rolled through our first Blue/White days

Now that we are off and rolling, I always want to remind students and parents that Powerschool is the one-stop shop to check grades, attendance, lunch balance, etc. Please make sure all information is correct and current, and keep up with student's grade. It is best practice that grade books are updated weekly. If you see your student is struggling, or there isn't any movement in their grades, please reach out to teachers. The earlier we start "Working Together for Student Success", the more our students will achieve.

If you are a parents looking for more ways to be involved in the school, here are a few opportunities. Below you'll find information about a new Parent Advisory Committee. There is a Google Form to fill out in you are interested. The district is also looking for a few parents to sit on an Artificial Intelligence Committee and a Special Education Evaluation Committee. If you are interested in these committee opportunities, please send an email to cleach@tcsc.k12.in.us

Athletics are up and running. The girls golf team has already played several matches and all other fall sports start very soon (Cross Country, Football, Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball). Be sure to stay up-to-date on all athletic schedules by downloading Eventlink on your phones. You can also access the athletics page here.

It was a great start, and we hope to carry that momentum into next week!

Mr. Leach is looking for a team of parents to form the Tipton High School Parent Advisory Committee.

The committee will meet monthly to discuss what is going on at Tipton High School.The purpose of the committee is to get the parent perspective in decision-making at the high school, to establish strong lines of communication, and to work together to make THS the best high school for our students.

If you are interested in joining this group, please complete the Google Form. Mr. Leach will begin contacting interested parents over the next 2 weeks.

THS uses Powerschool as our school management system. It is extremely important that parents/guardians create an account to monitor your student's progress throughout the year.

All parents must complete registration forms before the start of the school year to ensure all student information is current.

If you are a returning student, this is a relatively easy quick process that includes validating the information we have. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the main office.

PLEASE BE SURE TO UPDATE/COMPLETE ALL SECTIONS UNDER 'FORMS'.

We are looking for more ways to live the phrase, "Once a Blue Devil, Always a Blue Devil".

One way we would like to do that is by recognizing the amazing Alumni that have graduated from THS. Below is a Google Form that any one can fill out to nominate a THS graduate for recognition. The information from the form will be used to create an alumni post on our social media accounts.

If you know a Blue Devil Alum that has gone on to do amazing things in their lives after graduation, please complete the form. Be sure to upload a high quality image for the slide.
