From the Principal's Desk From the Principal's Desk

Fuller Families,

October is shaping up to be a busy and exciting month at Fuller! Beginning on October 1st, we will kick off our month-long Food Drive to support Hope Food Bank. We ask for donations of unexpired, nonperishable food items, and we appreciate your generosity in helping families in need. Later in the month, on October 24th, we will host our annual Trunk or Treat. To make this event a success, we need candy donations. All donations will earn students a PRINCIPAL’s Master Builder Award.

October is also National Anti-Bullying Month, and to show our commitment to kindness and unity, we will all wear orange on Wednesdays. At the end of the month, we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week, which includes fun dress-up days—be sure to check the flyer included in this newsletter for details.

Finally, it is time for referrals for Aubrey ISD’s Gifted and Talented Services for students in grades 2–5. If you would like to refer your child, you may find the referral form and additional information on the Aubrey ISD website under Departments > Gifted and Talented Service.

We look forward to a wonderful month ahead filled with learning, celebrations, and community spirit!

Have a great upcoming week and remember,
We are Fuller, We are Family!

Thank you,

Nathan Smith

Please click on Parent Information to see the information and links.

Referral will be open September 29 at 8:00 am through October 17 and will close at 3:00pm.

If you are interested in having your child considered for the Gifted and Talented service, please have the referral form filled out and submitted by FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2025. Unfortunately, there will be NO late exceptions.

Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance. Per TEA, ADA time is 9:00AM, any student that arrives after 9:00AM, will be counted absent for the entire day of school. Tardy period is from 7:35-8:59AM.

A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.

In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.
