Concert Attire - Images and Resonance

Ladies will wear black, closed toe, ballet style, flat dress shoes and the assigned dress from Southeastern Apparel (Pandora for Resonance and Callie for Images). Gentlemen will wear black dress pants, black socks, black dress shoes, and black long sleeved dress shirts. Please - NO short sleeved shirts, tennis shoes, heels or jeans - Please remember that this is performance attire and we want to look professional. Ties and sashes will be provided for all students. If you have not received your dress, please contact your director as soon as possible so arrangements can be made to borrow a dress until your dress arrives, as we have very few loaners.

Resonance Concert:

Our first choir concert on 10/14/26 will take place at Lakewood HS (9700 W 8th Ave Lakewood, CO 80215). Manning will be performing along with Lakewood's choirs. Tickets are available HERE. Doors will open at 6:30 pm for families. Students should arrive in their concert attire ready to rehearse at 5:15 p.m. Please eat dinner before you arrive. Get your tickets early, this concert does sell out.

Fall Choral Concert:

Our fall choral concert will take place on Wed. 10/15/26 at Manning and will include all choirs. Please arrive at 6:30 pm in concert dress. Tickets are available HERE. If you would like to help us take tickets at the door, please email Mrs. Mendez.

All County and All State:

Students in Images will be eligible to audition for Jeffco's All County Honor Choir and students in Resonance will be eligible to audition for Colorado All State Choir.

All County:

Auditions will take place the first week in October and audition materials will be provided by Ms. Montgomery. It is free to audition but there is a $12 fee to participate if selected. If selected, students will be required to attend an after school rehearsal at Bell MS on Thursday, November 12, and an all day rehearsal and evening concert at Alameda International HS on November 13. This choir will consist of the best middle school singers in our county and be directed by an expert clinician. See this letter for more information.

All State:

Auditions will take place the first few days in October and audition materials have been provided by Mrs. Mendez and can also be accessed here. The cost to audition is $25 and if selected, the participation fee is $40. Students will undergo a preliminary audition with Mrs. Mendez to determine if their audition will be submitted. If selected, students will rehearse at the CO Convention Center on February 18th and 19th with an evening concert that night. Please see this website for more specific information. These choirs will consist of the best middle school singers in our state and will be directed by expert clinicians.

Also a special thanks to all who helped with last year's fundraiser: The Manning Band was able to purchase our full sized tuba!!!!!

Auditions for High School Musical Jr. went well and the show has been cast. Our 7th and 8th grade students auditioned and our 6th graders are part of our ensemble. Please see below for important dates! Dress rehearsals are required to perform. More information about costumes and dress rehearsals will be sent home next month.

🎻 1. Mark Wood Joint Concert

• Who: Advanced Orchestra (performing with guest musician Mark Wood, Lakewood HS Orchestras, and Creighton MS 8th Grade Orchestra)

• Date & Time: Tuesday, October 6th at 7:00 PM

• Location: Lakewood High School

🎻 2. Fall Orchestra Concert

• Who: All Manning Orchestras

• Date & Time: Thursday, October 22nd at 7:00 PM

• Student Call Time: Students must arrive by 6:15 PM

• Location: Manning Auditorium

• Attire: Concert Black (please refer to the syllabus for full requirements)

We will be selling holiday wreaths as a performing arts fundraiser once again. Wreath sales start October 19th. Students will sell the 22" Noble Fir wreath for $28 each. See flyer here. Students should collect funds at the time of sale and families should write ONE check to Manning Performing Arts Boosters for all wreaths purchased. Once you are done selling, please fill out the order form here and bring your check in by Oct. 30, 2026. Wreaths will be delivered to Manning the week after Thanksgiving (usually Tuesday). Please deliver your fresh wreaths right away so they stay as fresh as possible.
