It will provide information for the School Improvement Planning process.

Mountainburg Public Schools is initiating a strategic plan to address facility needs. To support our students and provide a high-quality learning environment, we are requesting a 3.9-mill increase, which would bring our millage rate to 47.9 mills.

This funding would allow us to build a new middle school/ high school cafeteria providing a modern, warm, safe and dry kitchen and student dining space. Voters will decide on this investment in May 2025, ensuring we can meet both current and future student needs.

There will be two public meetings:

• Thursday, May 1 at 6:00
• Tuesday, May 6 at 6:00

Please join us in the MMS/MHS Cafeteria for a Q&A, review and provide input in the preliminary designs, tour the existing cafeteria, and the new Dragon Gym & Activity Center.

The Mountainburg Public Schools Gifted and Talented (GT) Program is seeking feedback regarding the GT program. Everyone is welcome to participate. On Wednesday, April 30th, Mrs. Hays will be available to give the Accuplacer.

This is for any Junior who does not have a 19 on the ACT and needs qualifying scores to be eligible for concurrent classes next year.

It is also for Seniors who do not have a 19 on the ACT and need to receive the Arkansas Challenge scholarship.

Mountainburg High School will be hosting a blood drive on Friday, May 2, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. You can sign up with Roger in the high school office.

Join us to celebrate a milestone for our seniors!

We invite families to join us on Tuesday, May 6th for a special ceremony honoring our seniors and their future plans. We will recognize students committing to higher education, employment, and the military after graduation. We look forward to celebrating this special time of recognition and celebration with you.

Alma High School is once again offering incoming 7th - 12th grade athletes and band members of Mountainburg Schools the opportunity to receive a free physical evaluation for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.

The Lady Dragons Softball team is hosting a Batting and Fielding Skills Camp this summer.
