๐ Help Us Shape the Greenfield Parent/Guardian Learning to Lead Series ๐
We are planning a new โLearning to Leadโ series to help parents/guardians better understand our school system and how decisions are made. We want to hear from you as we plan these learning opportunities for families.
At Greenfield, we believe parents/guardians play an important role in their children's success. Our goal is to give you the knowledge, tools, and confidence to take an active role in your child's education and our school community.
We want to know what you would like to learn! Please complete the survey below to share the topics that interest you and what you would like to learn more about. Your answers will help us plan useful learning opportunities that meet the needs of our families.
Whether you are already involved in school leadership or are just beginning to learn about it, we welcome you! You do not need any previous experience to participate.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and helping us plan this new series!

November School Safety Spotlight: Safety is a Shared Responsibility
Keeping our Campuses Secure
All visitors are required to check in through the school office using our Raptor Visitor Management system. Visitors must present a valid ID. These procedures help us maintain a safe and secure learning environment for everyone.
Preparedness Makes a Difference
Our schools regularly practice emergency drills to help students and staff understand how to respond to different situations. From fire and earthquake drills to secure campus and lockdown procedures, practicing helps build confidence and preparedness. Our district continues working to strengthen emergency response plans, staff training, and coordination across departments.
Families Are Our Partners in Safety
Parents and guardians can help support school safety by keeping emergency contact information current, discussing the importance of reporting safety concerns, and reminding students to speak with a trusted adult (or report anonymously through the STOPit app) if they see or hear something concerning.
As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we are grateful for the continued partnership of our families and community. Together, we can help ensure every student feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.
Safe Schools. Strong Partnerships. Student Success.

Growing Gratitude, Building Connection
๐Simple Ways to Support Your Child's Emotional Wellness This November ๐
November is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and help our children recognize the good things in their lives. Practicing gratitude and spending meaningful time together can help children build positive relationships, develop resilience, and strengthen their emotional well-being.But gratitude is about more than being thankful. It is also about learning to recognize positive moments while understanding that it is okay to experience sadness, frustration, worry, or disappointment. Children can appreciate what they have and still have hard days. Both feelings can exist at the same time.
๐ 1. Start a Gratitude Tradition
At dinner or bedtime, invite everyone to share one good thing from their day. It could be a friend who made them laugh, a favorite meal, or someone who helped them. Keep it simple and make sharing optional.
๐ 2. Make Time for Meaningful Connection
Children need to know that they matter. Set aside 10โ15 minutes each day for child-led time. Put away distractions, listen without interrupting, and let your child choose the activity or conversation. Small moments of connection can make a big difference.
๐ 3. Make Room for Every Emotion
Gratitude does not mean children must always be happy. If your child is upset, try saying, โI can see that you're having a hard day. Do you want to talk about it?โ Listening and validating feelings helps children feel safe expressing themselves.
๐ 4. Protect Healthy Routines
Holidays and school breaks can change sleep schedules, eating habits, and daily routines. Whenever possible, maintain consistent sleep, regular meals, physical activity, and time to unwind. Predictable routines help children feel secure.
๐ 5. Find Small Ways to Give Back
Invite your child to write a thank-you note, help a neighbor, donate gently used items, or do something kind for a family member. Acts of kindness can nurture empathy, strengthen relationships, and help children feel connected to their community.
Your November Family Challenge
Spend five minutes each day this month sharing one thing you appreciate about each other.
At the end of the week, talk about how these small moments made you feel.
๐คRemember: Small moments create meaningful connections.
