Message From the Principal-

It’s a great day to be an Eagle!

I came across a quote recently that truly stuck with me:

“Take care of yourself like someone you have waited your whole life to meet.”

February often brings what I like to call mid-year fatigue. The excitement of the new year has faded, routines feel long, the days are still gray, and spring can seem far away. For many of us — adults and students alike — this time of year can leave us feeling a little more tired, a little less motivated, and sometimes stuck in a more negative mindset.
During these winter weeks, it becomes especially important to pay attention to the way we speak to ourselves. When our energy dips, our thoughts can sometimes follow. It’s easy to focus on mistakes, missed goals, or where we feel we fall short.
What I wish every student could see is what we see so clearly: Every single child at Eagle Ridge is a gift. Each one brings unique strengths, talents, and incredible potential that is just waiting to be unlocked. They are capable of far more than they sometimes believe.
One of the greatest powers we all have is the ability to choose our pathway — to challenge negative thoughts, to extend ourselves grace, and to speak to ourselves with kindness. When our students begin to recognize their own worth and treat themselves with care and belief, there truly is no limit to what they can accomplish. The sky's the limit.
As we move through this season of mid-year fatigue, let’s continue working together to help our children see in themselves what we so clearly see — resilience, strength, and endless possibility.

As a Leader in Me Lighthouse School, every year, we collect feedback (through a survey) to help our school identify its strengths and weaknesses, develop goal-centered improvement plans, and monitor progress toward school improvement.

Happy 100th Day...

Kindergarteners dress up as 100 year-olds to celebrate the 100th day of school.

CMAS Testing (Colorado Measures of Academic Success) will be on the following dates. Parents, please avoid appointments, late drop-offs, and early pick-ups on these dates!!!

3-6th Grade ELA and Math Tests- April 7, 8, 9

4th Graders: Social Studies Test- April 14

5th Graders: Science Tests- April 14 and 15

Be sure your child gets a good night's sleep and eats a healthy, hearty breakfast on testing days!
