HHS Weekly Preview

• What a week! 2 Hour Delay, Evacuation, Winter Concerts, Athletics, Activities, Service, academics! Fords showed why we are the BEST School in PA! Go Fords!
• Thank you for your cooperation with the Evacuation. The students seemed to have rebounded well. These are not easy life situations. Please reach out if your student continues to have any difficulty with this or any school event.
• Kudos to our music students for getting us back on track and in the Holiday Spirit with their concerts this week!
• Two more full days next week-you can do it!
• Check out January's Schedule below. It has a bunch of twists and turns. State Mandated Keystones hit us as soon as we come back from break! The Fords continue to be in the top 15 of the entire state in Keystone testing combined scores. Top 15 out of over 600 schools! We feel we might break the top 10 this year!

1) The Class of 2026's Graduation will be held at Saint Joseph's University on June 4th! The exact time will be determined within the next month. We are awaiting guidance from Saint Joseph's on the time. The time will be in afternoon/early evening.

2) Senior Dues will be $50 this year. Free and Reduced lunch students are free. We will send a Hometown Ticket Link or pay cash or check in main office. Dues will be collected starting in February 1st and ending on April 1st.

3) FAQ of the Week: Each graduate will receives 6 tickets electronically. Please start figuring out over the Holidays who will be included in the six tickets. Sometimes, it is not easy to get down to six tickets.

January

• January 6, 7, 8, 9 are Keystone Exams. Test takers report at 7:30. 3 Hour delay for non-testers. Bus run at normal time and 3 hours after normal time.
• January 28 and 29 are Exam Days. Exams are 7:30 and 9:10 each day. All students are dismissed after their exams. Busses run at normal time and 10:40 AM.
• January 30th, there is no school because it is a contractual teacher transition day from the 1st to the 2nd semester.

May

• (May 19 is Election Day-No School) Election Day is a change from the original District Calendar. No school on May 19th.
• May 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 are Keystone testing days. Test takers report at 7:30. 3 Hour delay for non-testers. Bus run at normal time and 3 hours after normal time.
• June 12 and 15 are Exam Days. June 16th is a makeup exam Day. Exams are 7:30 and 9:10 each day. All students are dismissed after their exams. Busses run at normal time and 10:40 AM.

1) The Delaware County Technical School application process for the 2026-2027 school year is upon us! Please review the below information to assist you with the application.

Applications can be found on the DCTS website. The most recent program guide and instructions for submission are available under the Future Student section at: https://www.dciu.org/dcts/future-students

• All applications and supporting materials should be submitted through the online application.

• First consideration for space in programs will be granted to students with completed applications submitted by February 28th.
• To gain admission to a technical program, applicants must meet DCTS admission criteria in relation to grades, attendance, discipline, and career readiness.
• Since many programs fill to capacity quickly, applications received after February 28th will be considered based on available space in programs.
• SEE BELOW FOR VISITATION DAYS-VISITATION DAYS ARE OPTIONAL.

2) SAT SCHOOL DAY #2-----We will do a School Day SAT for Juniors on April 14th. This is the "real" SAT during a weekday. More details to follow after the New Year.

• Cheerleaders are District 1 Champions! Who cheers for the cheerleaders? Gooooooo Fords!
• Ice Hockey Website https://www.icshl.org/ Fords Varsity Hockey Team spent their Friday afternoon packing hundreds of bags of food for Grands Stepping Up.
  Each year the team spends time serving the community together. This year the Haverford Ice Hockey Club piggybacked the Varsity team’s efforts by running a food drive.
  We are grateful to be able to give back to the community during this season of giving!

Please consider donating $30 to the BLAST Fund. This after prom celebration run by the community for our seniors is a fantastic event that the seniors remember forever. If every high school parent gave $30 we could keep this event going for years to come. You can have your student drop off a check in the main office. Please see attached flyer for information.
