February 2 - February 6
Hello Mustang Families!
Last week, our Mustangs faced High Tech in an exciting basketball game and WON 64–6! Our players gave their absolute best, showing teamwork, determination, and school spirit every minute on the court. It was an incredible game to watch, and we couldn’t be prouder of our athletes for their hard work and dedication! 💙🐎
Learning in Action! 🧬
Also last week, students in Mr. Pezzoli’s class explored the fascinating world of genes and proteins through hands-on activities. They learned how genes carry instructions and how those instructions are used to make proteins, which help our bodies grow, function, and stay healthy. Students also discussed how mutations can change genetic instructions and sometimes affect how proteins are made—connecting science concepts to real-life examples in an engaging way!

High School Field Trips & Tours
Our 8th graders had a great time visiting Vista High school and seeing all the opportunities they have to offer. Our next trip will be to Mission Vista on February 3rd. We encourage families to talk with their students about what interested them at each school and to possibly attend one of the scheduled family tours listed on the flyers below, as students are most successful when they are engaged and informed in choosing the high school that is the best fit.
