Hello Quantum Families,
It was definitely a wet and rainy week here at Quantum but that did not slow us down! Our students did a great job despite having a rainy day schedule almost every day. We were able to recognize our students receiving Trimester Awards in our behavior expectations - be safe, be respectful, be responsible, be scholarly, and our Quantum values - create, persevere, impact the community, lead with empathy, and ask questions and seek answers.
Honor roll and perfect attendance awards will be given out in Homerooms on Monday and sent home in student backpacks. We are proud of our students, their progress, and their accomplishments so far this year!
Quantum was designed to be different and part of that design is our ongoing 10 year commitment to student choice and embedded enrichment opportunities. We had a special assembly to review expectations for our Explore and Elements classes and students have been doing a fantastic job of getting to their Explore class on time last week! We will continue with daily tardy sweeps this week and random, ongoing tardy sweeps as needed. Ask your Quark how their Explore class is going and ask what they are doing, creating, designing, or performing! We are always looking for volunteers during this time. The smART Festival is this Saturday, March 22nd at the California Center for the Arts Escondido from 10am-1pm in the Museum and Center Theatre. As a STEAM school, art is included in our enrichment offerings and integrated into our core content areas. Everyone is invited to see the artwork on display and to see various student performances. Quantum’s display will be an event stand-out so we hope to see everyone there!
