Will County ROE 56's 2025-2026 Continuous Improvement and Excellence Series wrapped up this week. Eight districts had leaders or teams at one or more of our seven sessions. We're thankful for the opportunity to work with and learn with all of the amazing educators who attended, and we're looking forward to supporting even more districts in the coming school year.
The Education, Innovation, and Service Center supports continuous school and district improvement in several ways for schools and districts across the Illinois accountability continuum, from Comprehensive to Exemplary:
- Regional Continuous Improvement and Excellence Learning Series aligned to the Illinois Accountability System (dates and details for the 2026-2027 series coming soon)
- Custom Coaching to support schools and districts from planning through implementation and beyond
- Strategic Planning Facilitation for intentionally creating a future that aligns people, priorities, and resources around a shared vision so improvement efforts are focused, coherent, and sustainable
Contact Heather for more details about any of the above services.
The first years in education can be both rewarding and challenging. The New Teacher Network & Learning Series is designed to enhance the mentoring and support teachers receive within their schools by connecting them with fellow early career educators from across the area.
Through seven interactive sessions, participants will explore practical strategies, engage in meaningful professional learning, and build relationships with peers in a safe, non-evaluative environment. Together, we will learn, reflect, problem-solve, and celebrate successes while developing the confidence, skills, and professional network needed to thrive in education.
Building Success Together (K-12)
Join us for a dynamic and engaging workshop designed to equip all educators with the essential knowledge and skills needed to excel in co-teaching partnerships. Whether you're a novice or an experienced educator, this workshop provides a comprehensive foundation of coteaching methods and best practices that will empower you to create inclusive and effective learning environments for students in the co-taught classroom.
Participants are welcome to stay and co-plan with their teams following the session.

Professional Learning and Collaboration
The Power of Networks
Why Networking Matters:
Meta-analyses by the Government Accountability Office show that professional development focused on collaboration and coaching leads to measurable results. Will County's networks offer collaboration on curricular materials and pedagogical practices while also providing space for resource sharing, reflection, and new ideas.
💵
New in SY '27, there will be a $15 registration fee to reserve your spot for a network meeting. The fee will be refunded upon attendance. Registrants who do not attend or cancel in advance will forfeit the fee.
PD on Your Time: Asynchronous Book Study (10 hours)
This asynchronous book study allows educators to read and reflect on leadership, explore its applications in life, community, and work, and apply their insights to their own educational leadership and their work with other leaders. It also provides an opportunity to learn from female leaders with diverse experiences and backgrounds, including racial, cultural, and linguistic diversity.
Whether you lead a classroom, a team, a department, a school, or a district, this book study offers practical opportunities to strengthen your capacity, reflect on your influence, and consider how leadership shapes school culture, collaboration, and student success.
