Maria Collins is our new Digital Implementation Coach. She is excited to support districts with the implementation of the digital tools provided in the Instructional Solutions and Support contract. Maria Collins comes to us from Keller ISD, where she served as a teacher, an instructional coach, and an assistant principal. She has a passion for the transformative use of technology in the classroom, digital citizenship, and inspiring educators to grow.

2019-2022 Blended Learning Grant Program-Planning Grant

A new round of blended learning grants from TEA just opened. This program is a four-year process to design, launch, refine, and scale a high-quality blended learning program. Beginning with a planning year in year 0, districts will grow their blended learning model from a pilot program to a sustainable feeder pattern implementation by year four. Math Innovation Zones (MIZ) uses this approach with a focus on K-8 math blended learning implementation while TEA will also award grants for non-math blended learning pilots.


The grant application closes on November 4, 2019.

Project-Based Learning Academy

2019-2020 School Year — The Academy will also meet on January 15 and February 26, 2020.


Project-based learning (PBL) is all about learning by doing, and that is exactly what you will experience in the PBL Academy. By the end of the face-to-face workshop days, you will have designed a PBL unit for your classroom. An online community and on-site coaching session will be offered to provide the support you need to implement your plan. Participants must attend each day to receive credit; partial credit will not be awarded.

Join us for a full day of TexQuest. Get to know the resources, best practices for implementation, and classroom uses. Customize your own schedule with how-to sessions from TexQuest providers as well as opportunities for sharing best practices in roundtable discussions or group planning with coworkers. Sessions will be available for basic/experienced and elementary/secondary TexQuest users. Bring your fully charged electronic device and find resources to use in your classroom tomorrow!
