Welcome to the Principal's Book Club! I am thrilled to invite you to join me for insightful discussions and a chance to bond over our love for reading. Let’s make this a wonderful experience together!

To maximize student learning time, please ensure your child arrives at school on time each day at 8:44 am. If you need to pick up your child before dismissal for an emergency or an appointment, kindly contact the main office and ensure they are picked up no later than 3:00 PM.

1. Please schedule a time to meet with your child's teacher for Parent Teacher Conferences. A communication was sent home with students. Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled on October 9th from 4:15 pm to 8:15 pm and October 10th from 12:15 pm to 8:15 pm. You can access your child's grades through the Parent Portal on the KPS website.

2. Monday, September 30th is Detroit Lions Pride Day. Please wear Lions apparel or colors.

3. Tuesday, October 1st is Detroit Tigers Pride Day. Please wear Tigers apparel or colors.

4. Picture Day and Count Day is Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Please make sure that your child is in school and on time so that they can participate in a raffle.

5. Friday, October 4th is a half day for students. Students will be dismissed at 12:02 pm. Also, WMU will be at our school to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month.

6. Kids In Tune will start on Monday, September 30th.

7. Please complete the Education Benefit Forms so your child can continue to receive free breakfast and free lunch. Please access the form at the bottom of the newsletter.

8. If you are in need of weekend food packs or need help with food then please contact CIS Coordinator, Dana Flynn with the following information:

1. We can't make same day bus changes.

2. If you have to make a transportation change then contact the Main Office.

3. Once the change has been made then you will be contacted.

4. Your student(s) will have to ride their assigned bus until the change has been made or you will have to transport your student(s) to and from school until the change is made.

5. Please contact the Main Office no later than 3:00 pm if you have a dismissal plan change.
