Labor Day Holiday - Monday, September 7th

I hope everyone enjoys the Labor Day Holiday as the last official weekend of Summer and has a chance for a fun and long weekend. We will not be having any classes on Monday and will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.

Positive Attendance

I am really proud of our parents and students and how well everyone is adjusting to distance learning. Although, distance learning is not the same as students being on campus learning most of you are really doing a great job of students being on live meets and completing work assignments. We have the expectation that for students to have a positive experience and be marked as present on a daily basis that we must have both live meets plus work completion. If students are only on live meets and not completing work, you will be receiving a call from the teachers and or adminstrators to help with achieving both. We need students to be doing both to achieve positive attendance.

Live Meets Plus Work Completion is the optimal learning expectation. Thank you all for helping us make distance learning the best experience possible. Remember:

Live Meets + Work Completion = Positive Attendance

FALL SPIRIT PARADE - LOOK FOR US!

Hart-Ransom Fall Spirit Car Parade: September 23rd from 2pm-4pm

Hart-Ransom families please look at the parade route with estimated times below.

Parade Information

Hart-Ransom Fall Spirit Car Parade

Hart-Ransom staff miss all of our students and families! Distance learning has been great, but we miss seeing everyone in person. It isn’t safe for us to be together right now, but we’ve planned a special HR spirit car parade so we can see all our students and families from a distance!

WHEN: Hart-Ransom staff will kick-off the first day of fall, Wednesday, September 23rd with a car parade through the Hart-Ransom neighborhoods and country bus routes.

TIME: The parade will begin at 2:00pm.

WHERE: The parade route is attached at the bottom of this flyer. Families from out of district are encouraged to park along Blue Gum Avenue near Poust Road for a great parade view!

WHAT: We encourage you to wear your favorite HR spirit wear and make signs to wave! Be on the lookout for Eagleton, he LOVES parades!

PLEASE NOTE: We want everyone to enjoy this parade and be safe! Please remember to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more, wear a face covering, and remain with your household/family as you watch the parade pass from your front lawn, sidewalk, or driveway!

Parent Portal

In order to get access to your student's attendance, progress reports and report cards, you will be given an email showing how to obtain access. This information will be relayed to you in an email to your parent email very soon. Once you receive this email, you will have directions and information on how to create your parent portal for access to this important information.

Parent Virtual Conferences for Trimester 1 Progress Reports

Parent Conferences will be the conducted from September 27th through October 2nd. Teachers will be busy in the afternoons and school will be officially over at 12:50 as it will be minimum days all week. This will affect the afternoon live meets for this week. Teachers will be reaching out to you to schedule your conference.

Go Guardian

Go Guardian is an application that we are using to help us keep track of our students as we access them and to ensure they are participating in live meets as required. We have noticed while taking some tests that parents are helping students with the testing. Parents we implore you not to do this while we are testing your child. We use the results of the test to inform our instruction. We make educational groups and plans based on our assessment and testing results. While we are in distance learning, we really need correct information. When parents help the students with the test, that is not helping your child be successful as we don't really have true or correct data and information. Please help us create the best learning environment with having honest and true data to inform our instruction. We understand that you want your student to do well but we need their reading levels and math levels to be accurate. We thank you for your partnership in this endeavor.

Social Emotional Learning with Mrs. Raby!

Mrs. Raby has gone digital! Each week students in TK-6 grade have the opportunity to view a social emotional lesson from me. These lessons are fun and focus on the theme for the month. Last month the lessons focused on Mindfulness and this month the lessons focus on Growth Mindset. Once a month in 7-8 grades, Mrs. Raby presents a mini-lesson in the AVID class. Junior High students have the opportunity to visit one of my many weekly drop-ins for help. All of my lessons have been made available on Mrs. Raby's Google Site where I have a virtual Calm Down corner, parent and community resources, and a link for your student to set-up an appointment with me. As always, please call or email me if you have any questions or concerns at nraby@hartransom.org.
