Dear Parents and Guardians,
We would like to inform you of our upcoming End-of-Course (EOC) testing dates:
- April 7: English I and English II
- April 14: Biology
- April 23: Algebra I
We will share schedule updates directly following each testing day to inform students and families about any adjustments for the days that follow.
In addition, we will also be conducting mock testing sessions for our AP exams on campus during this time. After testing is complete each day, we will follow this bell schedule.
To help students perform their best, please ensure that your student:
- Gets plenty of rest the night before each test
- Brings snacks and water if needed
- Brings a fully charged Chromebook on each testing day
Thank you for your continued support in helping our students prepare and succeed.

AVID News
Every year in AVID one of our most impacting components of the program is having guest speakers share about their profession. McMillen AVID students are always thinking about college majors, and they love exposure to as many as possible. That's where guest speakers help the most. Whether you own a business, are in the medical profession, the world of transportation, hospitality, engineering, law, human relations, trade professions…we would love to schedule you to speak to our students. They are always interested and have an abundance of questions. If you would be willing to come share your profession with us, or if you know someone who would like to come be a guest speaker in our AVID classes, please contact Sherika Gaines, our AVID Coordinator, at sherika.gaines@pisd.edu with questions. You may click the Google Form or scan the QR code on the flyer. Please consider sharing what you do with our students! We look forward to hearing from you.
