Eighth Grade Class Night Eighth Grade Class Night

The Eighth Grade Class Night is scheduled for tonight, Friday, May 29, from 6pm- 8pm at the Middle School. This is a picnic event that includes food, music, and outdoor games, and dress is casual. Tickets were sold in advance, and no tickets will be sold at the door. Students should have their ticket and student ID to gain admission.

Northern Burlington is hosting the state group track meet earlier the same afternoon (Good luck to any of our athletes who qualified.. Go Greyhouds!). We anticipate that there will still be a significant amount of cars and buses in our lots as class night begins. To facilitate drop off and pick up for class night, please plan to do the following:

  • Student drop off will take place at 7th grade bus entrance off of the bus parking lot that is accessed via North Island Road. DO NOT COME TO THE MAIN LOT OR MAIN ENTRANCE.

  • Student pick up will be at the same location as drop off, the bus lot accessed via North Island Road

  • Students should not arrive earlier than 6 pm.

  • Students must be picked up promptly at 8 pm

  • During pick up, students will not be allowed into the parking lot without an adult escort. Parents should plan to pull up to the curb or park and walk to the curb to pick up their child. We do not want students crossing a lot filled with moving cars at twilight.

We are looking forward to a fun evening as our 8th graders celebrate their time at the middle school and look forward to their next step as they move to high school.

Chromebooks for Next Year Chromebooks for Next Year

  • Class of 2031 (Current Seventh Graders): Students returning for eighth grade will keep their Chromebook over the summer and use it again in eighth grade.

  • Class of 2030 (Current Eighth Graders): Students will have their Chromebooks and chargers collected on June 11 and 12 during PE classes. At that time they will receive their new Chromebook and charger for high school. In order to receive a new Chromebook, the Chromebook and charger turned in must be in good working condition. In the event there are damages to the Chromebook that must be repaired, a new Chromebook will not be issued until that financial obligation is paid in full. A fee of $35 will be assessed for chargers not returned.

  • For students leaving the district, regardless of grade, the Chromebook and charger issued must be returned to the school as part of the regular sign out process.
