A Message from the Principal
Hello Cougars!
Students are continuing to put forth strong effort in their classes! I've been quite impressed with the level of collaboration I've seen in many of our classrooms. Students are talking about solutions, listening to one another speak and taking pride in their work. Keep up the great work, Cougars!
When students are kind, it promotes safety and students feel ready to work hard! Here are some ways everyone can encourage good work and kindness in the classrooms:
No judgment: When we're kind, it reduces the fear of judgment. If you're working in a team, it feels better when you know you won't be made fun of when you speak up. Be sure to hear all group members out!
Be constructive: Naturally in a group, there will be a disagreement. How you disagree is important. Focus on what about the work isn't right, not the person.
It's going to be okay: What if you get it wrong? That's OK! Stay kind and look at errors as opportunities to grow!
Be kind on purpose,
Mrs. Sands
