The Wolfpack Edge

GREETINGS
As we move toward wrapping up the year, today marks the seniors’ last day. Here's my transparent-ish admin perspective, it’s a day with a little extra “running around”—this group has always kept us on our toes. :) I found a slice of bread and a deodorant stick in the phone slots this morning... But more importantly, today reflects a year well finished.
Senior Chapel was a blessing, and I’m grateful to be part of a school where we intentionally sing and pray over our students....and learn from them! There was so much wisdom shared during the senior panel today.
This is a good place to be.

Head Administrator
The Wolfpack Edge serves as our weekly communication, sent out every Thursday during the school year, to our parent community. Grandparents & supporters may request to receive the communication, too. Interested in getting the Wolfpack Edge in your inbox? Visit here to sign up!
To recognize and celebrate the Class of 2026, we had a very special chapel today, the final chapel with our seniors present for the year. Our worship included singing two of our favorite songs, led by a senior worship team and a special number from seniors also, some fun and funny opportunities to look back, wise advice from and for the Class of 2026, and a closing blessing and prayer over all of our seniors! We celebrate this class and thank God for each of them!
Please consider joining us for chapel by subscribing to Western Christian High School Livestreams on YouTube.

Could Your Family Host This Fall?
Athletics
- As we transition into all our spring athletes and morning weightlifters utilizing the locker rooms, please make sure we are taking our items home each night and keeping the floor and locker rooms clean so our custodial staff can go in and clean the floors each week.
- We are searching for a Jr. High coach for our softball program. If you know of anyone, please pass the name on to Derek Keizer/Travis Kooima.
A NOTE FROM THE REGISTRAR
NCC Online Courses 2026-27
- Students who have registered for NCC online classes for next year need to bring in the $45 textbook fee (checks made payable to Western Christian) and have parents complete the consent form. Emails have been sent to the students needing to take care of this. Email is a key form of communication for these classes, so students need to check their email for information. Registration for these online classes is not complete until the textbook fee and consent form are completed.
Dordt CORE 120
- Students who have expressed interest in taking Dordt’s CORE 120 Composition have been emailed approval. The next step is completing the registration on Dordt’s website. Those who have not taken the ACT need to register to take it this summer.

What Helps Students Love Their Christian School?
What helps students truly love their school? Is it the high-quality teaching, the depth of the friendships, the beauty of the campus, or the way faith and learning intersect? Every Christian school leader has pondered these questions, often relying on instinct, observation, or anecdotal feedback. But what if students themselves—across many schools—could tell us, with data to back it up, what actually matters most?
Non-Discrimination Policy
Western Christian High School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs (if any exist), and athletic or other school administered programs.
