Flu Vaccinations
Dargans Pharmacy will be coming in next week to offer FREE nasal flu vaccines to children. The forms have been sent home - please return them as soon as possible if you'd like your child to have the vaccine.
Flu can be very serious for young children and this nasal vaccine is so easy for them to take and will keep them protected for the winter months.
You'll find more information in the leaflet on Aladdin. If you have any questions about the vaccine, come and chat to Brid.
Glanmore Food App
Our food supplier Glanmore Foods have been in touch to let us know that some families have experienced confusion with certain features of their new App, particularly around setting up recurring orders. While they are actively working to make this process easier, they have created some short videos (~40 seconds) to help you. You can find them at the link below. Glanmore Foods want the App to be as helpful and user-friendly as possible, and will continue to improve it based on your feedback.
Red and Black Day - Bohemians FC - Girls Team visit
We have been building a great partnership with Bohemians FC over the last few years. Bohemians FC Women's Team are going to be in the Women’s FAI Cup Final this month. The team will be visiting our school on Friday 10 October. It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to get the children excited for the game and gather some support! All of the children are invited to wear red and black to cheer on the girls next Friday if they'd like to.
Attendance at school
Good school attendance makes all the difference to children's experience at school. Being at school on time every day supports children to build relationships and engage with their learning.
At this stage of the year, most children should have 100% attendance, or perhaps have missed one day. Any more than that is a concern. You can check your child's current attendance on Aladdin. Please make every effort to bring your child to school each day. Any appointments - for you or your child - should be scheduled outside the school day.
Well done to Sean's 4th Class with 96.3% attendance last week, James with 95% and Alannah with 94.3%.
Junior Infants - parent coffee morning
We are inviting Junior Infant parents/carers to join us in the morning on Friday 10th October for coffee or a hot drink and a chat. It is a chance to meet other parents/carers and school staff, and get to know one another. We will also answer any questions you may still have about starting school.
