β Principal's Message
Dear Students, Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,
We kicked off this week with our Terry Fox Run and our students did well. Thank you to our KLO community for the donations. We also want to thank our Leadership class for all of the help and support running this event. The weather cooperated and the students had fun. Sadly, we did run out of hot dogs, so we want to apologize to those who didnβt get one.
Congratulations to our band students who participated in the BC Interior Jazz Festival. They represented KLO in a positive way and the event was a great success. We also want to wish those headed to Whistler next week good luck. Way to go, KLO!
Students from the French Immersion program have been busy preparing their videos for the Faisons un Boeuf event. It is always fun to watch students create and bring their videos to life by embracing and learning French music. We are excited to watch the final videos.
Students who are interested will be invited to participate in the design and creation of an outdoor learning space at KLO. The first meeting will be held on April 29th, during lunch hour. Students will be invited to begin discussing what this space will look like at KLO. This space will be paid for by a grant coming to us through Parks BC and the Federal Government.
Good luck to all of the KLO students competing in Volleyball Provincials over the coming weeks. Have a great weekend, KLO.

π Attendance Matters
Coming to school regularly matters far more than many realize!
When students attend regularly:
They gain consistent access to instruction and hands-on learning
They get immediate feedback from teachers as they learn
They build friendships and develop social skills
They feel connected to their school community
These experiences are essential for both academic success and emotional wellbeing. If challenges arise, please reach out. We're here to help!
