Happy Halloween!
As many students head out trick or treating tonight, I'd like to share a few safety tips that we can all review to make it a safe night for our kiddos.
Supervision: Accompany trick-or-treaters under 12. For older kids, help them plan their route and set a curfew.
Home preparation: Keep your yard and walkway clear of obstacles, and turn on your porch lights to welcome trick-or-treaters. Keep family pets away from visitors.
Candy inspection: Before anyone eats any candy, check all treats. Discard anything unwrapped, open, or from an unfamiliar brand.
Drive with caution: Drivers should be extra careful and slow down, as children may not look before darting into the street. Turn headlights on early to help spot pedestrians.
Have a great night, have fun, and enjoy some of your kids candy.
Thank you!!
Thank you, Waldron Community, for the incredibly warm welcome as your new school Superintendent/Principal.
I feel fortunate to work with such an amazing staff and awesome students. Though I've only been here a little over a week, I see great potential, and I promise to work tirelessly to make our school the absolute best it can be.
Small communities thrive when we set aside differences to focus on what's best for our youth. We can all work together to support the school and ensure our students have the environment they deserve.
I would love to meet any parents who want to be involved in this exciting process. Please call or email me at Matt.Furtney@waldronspartans.org anytime to schedule a conversation.
Thank you,
Matt Furtney
Parent/Guardian Perception Survey
To better address the needs of our parents/guardians, I need to gather some input from all of you. Please take a few minutes to fill out this survey for me. The input that you provide will be what I use to start addressing our school needs I truly appreciate your input and time. I will be closing this survey down on November 7th.
P/T Conferences
MS/HS parent teacher conferences will be held in the media center.
Mr. Roberts has asked if 6th grade students can come with their parents so they know how well they are doing and so they can help set their goals, or to see their goals that he has prepared for them. It is also a great time to speak openly and honestly in front of their parents to him if they have any concerns.
