Principal Message
Dear Parents & Guardians,
We are excited to kick off our Holiday Spirit Week beginning on Monday. Students are encouraged to join in the fun by wearing their flannel and cozy socks to school on Monday. A complete list of daily themes can be found below, and we hope all students will participate in this festive week.
As a reminder, our Lost and Found is donated at every major school break. The last collection was completed prior to Thanksgiving. To make items more accessible, we have set up a table near the gym, as many of the items we collect come from weekend outdoor activities. In just a few short weeks, it has filled up again. If your child is missing anything, please encourage them to check the Lost and Found before winter break.
If your child is going to be late to school, please be sure to report it in Pick Up Patrol. Morning drop-off ends promptly at 7:38 AM. Arriving at that time allows students only about two minutes to get to their locker or unpack before heading to their next class. Every effort to arrive earlier is greatly appreciated and helps students start their day on the right foot.
There will be a showing of The Grinch at WHS in the auditorium on Saturday night at 6 PM. The event is hosted by the SMILES Club to raise money for cancer. The Grinch himself will be there for photos, and fun snacks will be available for purchase. All proceeds from this event will go directly to The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Windham’s Helping Hands. Come join in the fun!
We hope you are enjoying the rollout of MyPowerHub. MyPowerHub now enables our district to utilize a centralized platform from PowerSchool, consolidating school communication, grades, assignments, forms, meal balances, and direct messaging capabilities all within a single login. Starting in January, all school newsletters will only be posted to the Newsfeed section of MyPowerHub. This will help streamline parent communication into one central location. You will receive an email notification once it is posted to your newsfeed. If you do not receive these notifications, please check your notification settings. Also, if you have not logged into MyPowerHub yet, please follow these instructions.

PE Corner
Please ensure your child has sneakers for PE classes. During the winter months students should be bringing another pair of footwear for PE, other than what they wore to school and outside at recess.
It is a safety issue during certain physical education activities and it adds to the wear and tear on the gym floor.
Thank you,
The PE department
