K/1 loved the first day of snow and surveyed the vast winter landscape
Dear Families,
4/5 Food Drive: This was a huge success! We’ve delivered over 500lbs of goods to HOPE! We are still collecting, so please drop off donations between now and Thursday. Thanks again for all your support and to the Eberly family for delivering all the goods to HOPE.
I’d also like to extend a special thank you to Kathleen Marinelli for her preparation of meals for families affected by the cessation of SNAP benefits. Steve Marinelli and all the ACSD food service folks did a remarkable job last week.
Attendance reminder and clarification: Under the new AOE rules, we are no longer able to approve vacations as excused absences unless they have been approved (by me for two days or the Superintendent, if longer than two days) as an alternative educational experience. It is helpful for us to know about all anticipated absences ahead of time. Thanks so much.
Lunch help: We need someone to help Kathleen with prep for the Thanksgiving Feast on Wednesday - 10:30-11:20. We also need someone to sign up for Thursday. Please look ahead for dates in December and email me or sign up directly on the calendar if you can help out. I’d love to have the first week covered before we head out for vacation.
**Thanksgiving Feast- as a reminder today is the last day to RSVP for the Thanksgiving Feast on 11/19. Here is the sign up sheet to do so. Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing you all!

Many snowy creations were crafted this week; amongst them was a sea turtle!
The SEPAC invites all families and caregivers of ACSD students with disabilities to join them on Thursday, November 20.
Please join the Addison Central Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) on Thursday , November 20th, for a parent and caregiver support event. This is an opportunity to build community, ask questions, share concerns, and connect with other families. Light refreshments will be provided; children are welcome to join.
