MS 50's Musical is Saturday! Join us for a musical adventure through the Caribbean to discover the importance of caring for our home, our city, and the world. Come support our student performers as they take the stage and showcase months of hard work! The Island Cast will perform at 1:00PM and the Ocean Cast will perform at 4:00PM. The show is free to attend and no tickets or registration is required. We can't wait to see you there!

We are so excited for our annual Champions Dinner on Thursday! This exciting night will be a chance for our whole community to share a meal, learn about the successes of the past year and discuss how we would like our community to grow in the upcoming school year. We will also be having elections for the PTA Executive Board for the 2023-24 school year. The dinner will take place in the MS 50 cafeteria from 6:00-8:00PM on Thursday, May 11. Register to let us know if you will attend!

Congratulations to the 84 students who participated Saturday's MSQI Debate Tournament at IS 220 in Sunset Park, bringing home the first place trophy! We would like to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our debaters who showed determination, flexibility, and innovation at Saturday's tournament. Our debaters faced stiff competition from 52 other middle schools from around the five boroughs. The creativity and innovation of our students was on display as they delivered creative and unique arguments about the benefits and risks of commercial genetic testing. Our debaters truly are the pride of the southside!

Voting is open for all 32 Community Education Councils and 4 Citywide Education Councils that make important decisions about your student's education. Meet the candidates running to represent District 14 and vote by TONIGHT to make your voice heard!
