Hall Star Shine Weekly
News & Updates for the Hall Star Nation
- Ensure your child gets restful sleep. We are an early start school! We need our brains to be activated and ready to start our school day by 7:10 AM.
- Please make sure your child gets on their bus or is dropped off to school by 7:10 AM each day. If they arrive after that time, they are already missing out on their education. We need our Hall Stars to be on time ready to Shine Bright!
- Please keep snacks at home. Unless your child is bringing a full lunch to school, they should not be bringing food and snack items to school. We are a PEANUT-FREE building. Snacks are a fun thing to look forward to in arriving home.
- Get ready to support your child with homework and the critical needs for growing brains! This mostly includes fostering habits of building stamina and academic routines, reading together, and looking forward to the Math Home Connections Workbook to come home soon as a daily math homework, for all Hall students in Kindergarten through Grade 5.
This Week is School Bus Safety Week!
Safety is our first priority and Transportation has established rules and regulations designed to protect children. Every child, regardless of age, is responsible for following these rules.
Bus Safety Expectations
- Stay out of the "Danger Zones" outside the bus.
- Follow driver's instructions.
- Be at the assigned bus stop on time.
- Always SIT DOWN.
- Be courteous. No fighting, swearing or yelling.
- No EATING or DRINKING.
- Keep your bus clean. Do not damage bus.
- Keep your head and arms inside the bus windows.
- No pets or dangerous objects.
We ask that parents help children recognize that misconduct can cause serious injury to themselves or other passengers. Disturbances also impact the driver's ability to perform the bus route, causing unnecessary delay. We know that parents understand they share responsibility with the child for his/her conduct while on the school bus and in the school bus loading and unloading areas.
While it is a last resort, students who are involved in serious or repeated incidents will be denied transportation. Parents are always notified if the student is to lose bus privileges.
