Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to evaluate and address students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual perception, and self-regulation abilities. By providing individualized interventions and accommodations, occupational therapists assist students in developing the necessary skills to engage in classroom tasks, handwriting, self-care activities, and social interactions. Through a holistic approach, school-based occupational therapy aims to promote independence, academic success, and overall well-being, enabling students to thrive in their educational environments and beyond.

These professionals work collaboratively with students, teachers, parents, and administrators to address diverse needs and promote holistic well-being. Furthermore, school counselors assist students in setting academic and personal goals, developing essential life skills, and making informed decisions about their future endeavors.
