2 Hour Early Release - Today!

Please make plans for a 2 hour early release on Thursday, October 17th. Below are the release times:

Walkers @ 1:30

Car Riders @ 1:30

Bus Riders @ 1:45

Bike Repair Day

Last Saturday we hosted a bike repair day at Ridgeview Elementary. We had a great turnout. A big thank you goes out to the Clay Lozier Memorial and Ms. Leslie Waters for organizing the event. We plan to host another one next spring.

Halloween Costumes - Fall Party

Fall parties are scheduled for October 31st at 2:45. Costumes must be school appropriate: no blood, guts, gore, guns, etc. If you have questions, please check with your child's teacher to be sure your child's costume is appropriate.

If you plan to attend fall parties, please email Sarah Thomas with your full name and birthdate. She will print a pass in advance so you can skip the line.

School Attendance

As we discussed last year, the Missouri Department of Secondary and Elementary Education (DESE) is placing a great focus on school attendance. They expect all students to have at least 90% attendance. Our goal this school year is to have 90% of our students with at least 90% attendance. You might wonder how many days can a student miss before they drop below 90%? Seventeen days is the threshold. I know there are many legitimate reasons to miss school. Let’s work together to have your child here as many days as possible. As the year progresses, I will be sending individual attendance updates notifying families if their child is below 90%.

Below is the current attendance for Ridgeview compared to last school year. This data represents the percentage of students that have at least 90% attendance.

Headphone Adapters

Students received updated iPads this fall. The new iPads require a special headphone jack. Your child will either need new phones with a USB C plug or you will need to purchase a USB C adapter. Below are links to headphones and adapters.

Student iPads will start going home on October 11th. Families have the option to keep devices at school. Please let your child's teacher know if you would prefer that iPads stay at school.
