After a busy start to the school year, we hope you and your family enjoyed a relaxing and enjoyable long weekend! Our teachers, interventionists, and administrators have been working hard to complete our beginning-of-year literacy and math assessments. i-Ready Inform is used with students in grades K–5 to give us an early picture of each student’s strengths and areas for growth. In Kindergarten through 2nd grade, students also participate in additional one-on-one assessments to help us identify students who may be at risk and need additional support. Once these assessments are completed, parents will be notified if their child is identified as at risk in literacy or math. Regardless of whether your child is identified as at risk, their initial i-Ready Inform results will be shared with you and discussed during parent-teacher conferences. This information gives our teachers an important baseline for understanding each child as a learner and helps us provide targeted instruction and support so that every student can continue to grow and be successful.

Scholastic Book Fair eWallet

Don’t want to send cash to school with your child? Scholastic eWallet makes it easy to give your child money to shop the Book Fair—without sending cash!

Parents can create an eWallet, add funds securely, and allow their child to shop independently. Friends and family can also contribute to the eWallet. Any unused funds remain available for future Scholastic purchases.

To set up an account: Go to Scholastic Book Fair and search for our school.

NOTE: This is optional and students may bring cash to spend at the Book Fair.

No student attendance at school

Assignments will be posted in Google Classroom for students to complete on Wednesday, September 16th, by 8:00 AM. Teachers will send Chromebooks home with students on Tuesday. Teachers will review how to access Google Classroom and explain assignment expectations.

Please note that this differs from virtual days due to weather, as teachers will participate in professional development throughout the day. There will be no live meetings with students; however, teachers will have office hours available to assist students. Students may email their teachers with questions, and teachers will respond during office hours.

Transportation, Pick up & Drop Off Transportation, Pick up & Drop Off

Transportation and Dismissal Reminders

Any transportation changes must be reported directly to a person in the front office by 1:45 p.m. To help make dismissal safe and predictable for everyone, transportation changes should be limited to those that are necessary and should not be a daily occurrence. Whenever possible, please maintain a consistent transportation schedule. This helps reduce confusion and stress for students when they know where they are going each day.

For the safety of all students, students may only ride the bus they are regularly assigned to in the morning or afternoon. Students will not be permitted to change buses or ride home with another student, as our buses are at capacity.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding during drop-off and dismissal. It takes a few extra minutes to safely get students to their cars, verify that they are leaving with the correct person, and keep traffic moving. Our priority is always the safety of every student, so we appreciate your patience as we work together to make arrival and dismissal as safe and efficient as possible.
