Please join us for our first PTO meeting of the school year, taking place Monday, September 23rd from 6:00-7:00 PM in the Prairie Lane Cafeteria.
This first meeting will be a time to learn more about the PTO, meet other parents, learn about how you can be involved in upcoming events, and participate in a discussion about the evolution of classroom parties and room parent roles.
We are hoping to provide childcare in the gym for families that may need it. More details to come soon.

Join your Prairie Lane friends on Friday, September 13 for an outdoor movie! This event is free for all Prairie Lane families. The movie is currently being voted upon by students at school: Elemental, Garfield, and Minions: Rise of Gru. The winning movie will be announced at school on Wednesday, 9/11.
Beginning at 5:30 PM: Enjoy for purchase dinner and treats with the following local businesses-- 911 Tacos (assortment of Mexican dinner items), Hydn Cheese (grilled cheese), Sweet Corner Ice Cream, and Auntie A's Sweets & Treats. There will also be a concession table to support the 5th grade trip to Camp Timber-Lee, including water, soda, chips, and popcorn.

Yearly Spirit Day Pre-Pay Available!
Each month, a treat/snack item that aligns with the Spirit Day theme will be offered to students. Simply send your student with the allotted amount on the Spirit Days they would like to make a purchase.
To simplify purchasing, we are happy to continue offering a full school year pre-pay option. You are welcome to pay for the entire year and your student will receive all 10 items- one on each Spirit Day. No worrying about sending in money each month! This also guarantees each month’s item. Limited quantities will be available beyond pre-pay students.

During the 2023-2024 school year, Prairie Lane raised just under $1,000 from local "Restaurant Nights." These funds went directly to supporting classroom wish list needs- a real gift to teachers and staff! Support Prairie Lane by eating out on these special monthly nights.

While helping raise money for Prairie Lane PTO (Thompson will gift us 20% of all ticket sales), Thompson Farm prides themselves on being a place for families to easily engage and socialize with one another while giving the kids a safe and fun place to play outdoors!

In the meantime, the PTO Yearbook Team would love your help! PTO volunteers create the publication cover-to-cover. All photos included in the beautiful memory book are submissions by families and teachers. In order to populate the nearly 100 page yearbook, we rely on submissions from our PLE families. Monthly event photo folders will close approximately one month after each event. More information coming soon.

This fundraiser runs year round with orders being placed monthly on last day of each month. All you need to do is submit your order on the form link and submit your payment via Venmo (@PrairieLaneElementaryPTO), cash or check to school. Car wash and gift cards will typically be delivered within one week. 44% of each car wash card and 5% of all gift cards are donated back to Prairie Lane.
What does this mean for Prairie Lane? If families continue to pre-pay for groceries, gas, and car washes through the purchase of gift cards, PLE PTO can:
Help make the cost of the 4th grade field trip to Madison cost effective for all families (appx $80/student without fundraiser support)
Help make the cost of the 5th grade overnight field trip to Camp Timber-lee cost effective for all families (appx $200/student without fundraiser support)
Help grade levels fund purchases specific to the needs of their students and classrooms (keep an eye out for more monthly focus information throughout the year)
Support the cost of the assemblies (appx $2700)
Support the cost of the "all school" field trip (appx $2500, last year was movie theater)

Generous donations from Prairie Lane families are always an appreciated gift. Some items are necessary daily learning tools (white boards, books), some help supplement learning (small group tools, games), and some make their classroom a more comfortable, welcoming learning space (flexible seating options, incentives, birthday treats).
