Note from Mr. Moore:
Dear North Side Families,
As we move into this season, I personally have so much to be thankful for. Our school is truly a special place, and every day I’m reminded of the incredible community we share. I am grateful for our families, our dedicated faculty and staff, and most of all – our wonderful students. Their personal and academic growth continues to inspire me, and it is a direct result of their hard work, their curiosity, and the collective commitment we all share to building a supportive, thriving school community.
I am also excited for one of our favorite traditions of the year, our Thanksgiving Feast! I can’t wait to see you all on Tuesday, November 18. Please refer to the schedule below for your child’s designated time. For the safety of everyone, we will be running all names through Centegix in advance and on the day of, so no one will be admitted without proper identification.
Thank you for your continued partnership and for all you do to support our students. I am equally grateful for the trust you place in me to lead North Side. It is truly one of the greatest honors and joys of my life.
Warmly,
Chad Moore

Car Line and Walkers:
End of Day Walker Procedures:
To ensure a safe and smooth transition for all at the end of each school day, please review the procedures below for NS walkers. This comes from our Student/Family Handbook,. With this being said, I realize that there may be a few people who are new and may not be aware. If your child is not a bus rider, and they are not a walker based on the procedures below, please make sure they are picked up in the car line each day.
From Student/Family Handbook:
Walkers: All students walking home at dismissal will be released through the door by the flagpole adjacent to Roan Street. Park-and-walk is not permitted. Anyone picking up a student must have a school issued walker tag. Walkers are only dismissed with prior plans and approval.

Thank you to students who participated in this year's PTA Reflections Contest: I Belong! The creative strengths of our students really shine. You can view student entries here.
Staff Spotlight!
Student Spotlight!
Everett Armentrout: There isn't a day where Everett slacks on showing his North Side Pride. In 5th grade, we talk A LOT about integrity and doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Everett is a prime example of this! He not only gives his personal best and comes to school ready to learn each day, but he is also a student who classmates and teachers can depend on. We couldn't be more proud of him, and we're so glad to have an encouraging student like him in our class!
Kahliah Fields: Kahliah's picture should be next to the definition of North Side Pride. She comes to school ready to learn, and do her personal best, which is GREAT, but on top of that she is also filled with integrity form head to toe. Her friends can depend on her to always be encouraging, and the way she lifts everyone around her up is something that inspires us each day!
At Home Reading Tips:
Set a Routine – Pick a regular daily reading time.
Find a Spot – Help your child find a comfortable spot to read.

Gratitude, Kindness, and Community Support
November is already off to a busy start! Last week we celebrated Veterans Day and honored the service of the brave men and women who protect our country. Students learned about gratitude and the importance of recognizing those who make a difference in our lives.
In our counseling lessons, we continue to explore gratitude and how practicing thankfulness can help us feel more positive and connected. Please take a moment to talk with your child about ways they can show gratitude and kindness to others—at school, at home, and in the community.
As we move into the holiday season, please remember that you can always reach out if your family is in need of resources or support. I am here to help and connect you with community assistance.
Thank you for partnering with us to help students grow in kindness, gratitude, and understanding.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Murphy

I’m so proud of how the North Side families have come together to fill the Free Food Box in car line. Families are using it daily, and we’ll keep it full through the winter.
If you’d like to fill it, please sign up for a date here:
