Week of September 8 to 11
Introducing ParentSquare at Edendale
This school year, Edendale teachers and staff will be using ParentSquare as our primary tool for school and classroom communication. To stay up to date on announcements, event reminders, and messages from your student's teacher, please download the ParentSquare app on your phone. For more details on getting started, click on the image to visit the district's ParentSquare information page.
Attendance Awareness Month
School Policies and Expectations for Students
Cell Phone Free School
Students must power down their phones and keep them in their backpack from 1st bell (8:11) to the last bell (2:38). Lunch is only time they can turn it on. Thank you for supporting this effort at home by reminding your student about the new guidelines.
Backpacks and School Supplies
Students, show up ready, learn ready — every class, every day with your backpack, pens & pencils, paper, and anything else your teacher requires.
i-Ready Homework
This year's schoolwide homework is iReady: students should complete at least two lessons per week in both Reading and Math. If your child needs a Chromebook at home, contact the Main Office at 510-317-5111 or 510-317-5112. Thank you for supporting your child's learning!
Bike Mobile Bike Repair Clinic
We want to see more families riding their bikes to Edendale so we’ve invited the BikeMobile to provide free tune ups & repairs for adults and students. The BikeMobile can fix flat tires, adjust brakes and gears, and even replace broken or worn out parts like chains, seats, and tires. The only thing it can’t do is replace missing wheels or gears. While the mechanics work on your bike they’ll explain how to keep it running smooth. Bike or no bike, everyone is welcome to attend to learn about maintenance, safety, and more! This is a first come, first serve event. Space is limited to 20 people. Bring your bikes to the front of the school on October 14th between 12:30 and 3:00. We look forward to seeing you there!
