🗓 Important Dates
Upcoming Reminders:
As we begin to adjust at the early signs of spring and increased daylight each day, we are optimistic about what has been transpiring at the Stoklosa. Last month, we had many school-based activities including a dynamic guest speaker-his message was clear towards motivating intrinsically vs extrinsically. Also, we had staff vs. students basketball game (see action shots below).
We look forward to the month of March at the Stoklosa!

Positive Thinking and Goal-Setting:
March is the first month of spring a time of new beginnings and hope for the future. It’s a great time to set goals for yourself and practice thinking positively. As a parent, your attitude plays a huge role in shaping your child’s worldview. By modeling an ability to find happiness and purpose in times of challenge and uncertainty, you are helping your child learn to think positively about themselves and the world and work through their own challenges.
Children with optimistic parents are more likely to:
-Have strong, healthy friendships
-Perform well in school
-Handle their emotions with appropriate behaviors
Key aspects of a growth mindset:
-Open to feedback
-Celebrate progress and effort, not just results
-Change self talk from “I can’t do this” to “I can’t do this yet”
-Embrace challenges
-See the success of others as something to learn from
-Belief in the ability to improve
-Perseverance
Attendance Matters!
Attendance: Attendance is a crucial, proven, statistical metric for student learning. We place a strong emphasis on being present and on time. As parents/guardians, please assist in getting your child to school, on time, each day. In the event your child is sick, please call and/or provide medical documentation.
We thank you in advance for being committed to ensuring your child is in school.
